Rocket Espresso Giannino Grinder
Rocket Giannino Grinder for Espresso
The Rocket Giannino is a precise, performance-focused espresso grinder presented in a stylish, petite package. The small footprint on the Giannino belies its impressive motor power and burr size, resulting in faster, more consistent grinding. The sleek, modern aesthetic that defines Rocket’s brand is on full display with the Giannino as well: the back logo stripe was designed specifically to match the look of the Appartamento TCA.
Features & Benefits
The Rocket Giannino is a sleek and modern grinder with an intuitive, minimalist user interface. The large, touchscreen display offers three easily-programmable timed doses, plus a manual grinding mode for when you’re dialing in. Speaking of dialing in, the large, aluminum grind adjustment knob allows for stepless, micrometric adjustments to grind size, so you can dial in precisely for any roast profile. The Giannino also features a height-adjustable portafilter fork for hands-free grinding, a 320 gram bean hopper, and Silent-system technology that makes for a pleasantly quiet grinding experience.
When making the Giannino, Rocket beefed up the burr size 55mm and increased the motor power to 390 W, making for a more powerful, consistent grinder. As a result, the output on the Giannino is 1.8–2.3 grams per second. They’ve also added a portafilter microswitch, so you can dispense grounds via the intuitive touchscreen display or by pressing the portafilter against the switch to activate whichever dose has been selected.
The Giannino also boasts a more refined and mature aesthetic that matches perfectly with Rocket’s higher-end prosumer espresso machines. The logo back panel, available in black, chrome, or wood finishes, is sleek and elegant without sacrificing the eye-catching excitement that defines the brand.
Why You Should Get It
The Giannino is a perfect grinder to pair with one of Rocket’s higher-end espresso machines, like the Mozzafiato or the Cinquantotto. Its elevated aesthetics and improved performance actually make it an excellent choice for any prosumer-grade espresso setup, whether you’ve got a Rocket machine or not. It’s both precise and powerful without sacrificing on ease of use or Rocket’s trademark modern aesthetic.
